Tracee Ellis Ross Uses This Lip Duo For Her Iconic Pink Pout
If you take a scroll through Tracee Ellis Ross’s Instagram feed, you’ll notice a few things that stand out: She always has a new, eye-catching hair style (which is to be expected as she founded Pattern Beauty, a curl-inspired hair-care brand), her skin is consistently bright and glowing, and she loves a bright pink pout. Finally answering our lipstick prayers, the star took to her Instagram story today debuting the lip combination we always see her rocking, and there’s no question that we’re “adding to cart.”
Ross begins her post with the ever-mysterious eyebrow raise—she must have known we’ve been waiting for this moment. She then follows by lining her lips with MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Embrace Me, a vivid fuchsia which is now discontinued on their site. A great dupe for the color is MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Heroine ($18).
Next up on the lip roster is Lime Crime Pink Velvet Matte Lipstick ($20), which she lightly swipes on top of the liner for a gradient effect. The final result is a saturated pink pout that is tough enough to last through anything the day brings.
Although The High Note star swears by this pink lip, you’ll also find that she often rocks a bright bold red, which she has previously admitted is MAC Cosmetics’ Ruby Woo Lipstick ($19), a staple Ross said she’s been using since high school, the Los Angeles Times previously reported. No matter which color she’s rocking, we need both of them in our collection.
