Drew Barrymore’s Instagram Post Led to a Partnership With Garnier
If you’ve followed Drew Barrymore on Instagram for the past few years, you’ve come to know and love her #BeautyJunkieWeek series, during which she shares all of her favorite products—cult-classics and new discoveries—as well as her personal tips and hacks for maximizing your beauty and wellness routines.
During one of her #BeautyJunkieWeek posts in August 2020, below, the actress and talk show host told her then 13 million followers about her love for Garnier Whole Blends Legendary Olive Shampoo and Conditioner—she bought it because her daughter’s name is Olive—and the brand took notice. In a statement from Garnier today, Barrymore is the brand’s first-ever celebrity brand ambassador AND creative director.
Barrymore’s first assignment for the brand: help launch the new Whole Blends Sulfate Free Remedy Hair Care collection, which she will be the face of. “I’ve been a fan of Garnier Whole Blends since trying the Olive products last summer, so when they approached me with the idea to help them launch the new clean beauty Sulfate Free Remedy Collection, I was all in. The products are amazing and good for your hair, but what’s even better is that the brand is doing so many good things to give back and help make the planet greener—they have a total end-to-end approach to sustainability, Greener Beauty, and work with NGOs such as the Bee Conservancy, protecting 10 million bees, and that’s really important to me.”
